Tao Downtown Happy Hour

February 29, 2016

PAST EVENT - Monday, February 29, 2016

HAAUS toured TAO Downtown. We were accompanied by Susan Nugraha from the Rockwell Group for a tour of the restaurant followed by a happy hour. Tao Downtown features a 40 foot staircase in a bi-level cathedral like space and is decorated with a combination of eastern sculptures, two 16 foot Buddhas and colorful murals painted by UK graffiti artist Hush. Rockwell Group designed the interiors within the former Maritime Hotel Ballroom. Rockwell Group's LAB, a division dedicated to exploring the intersection of physical space and the digital world, created the projected effects that animate the Buddha statues.
